2017 Ordo App Update, 02.16.17

A recent date sequence issue in the Ordo app has been resolved, but may require a reinstallation of the app to be effective. Completely delete the app from your device and reinstall from the App Store. On the Regions Download area where you previously purchased your region, tap the Restore Purchases button and your region will load.

How do I get the Ordo App?

The Ordo app for Apple is available for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch, and can be downloaded from iTunes or the Apple App Store. The initial download will be of the Ordo container, which will direct you to the area to select & purchase your specific region. From there it is simply a matter of exploring the app, getting accustomed to its functionality, and contacting us with any question you might have.

Will the Ordo app run on all my Apple devices, or will I be required to purchase again for each one?

The Ordo app will run on any Apple device where it is downloaded using the same iTunes or App Store account credentials. There will be no additional charges if the same account as the original purchase is used.

Does the Ordo app need to be repurchased each year?

The digital Ordo app undergoes a more rigorous production process than the printed version so, like the printed version, incurs production costs to be offset. The end result is that the Ordo app is priced just as the print version, and like the print version, is purchased for each new yearly edition.

Is there a discount for purchasing both the app & printed versions of the Ordo?

At this time we aren't able to discount the book or app if both are purchased. The topic is scheduled for consideration, and we will be making an announcement to our email subscribers when the subject clears the board.

Are there plans for a Windows Mobile version of the Ordo app?

At present we are focusing our attention of refining and updating the Apple/iOS & Android versions of the app. Once we're comfortable with those two platforms, we'll consider building the Windows Mobile platform to join the others. We'll have an announcement when that time arrives.

How do I apply for a refund on the Ordo app?

Apple is good about givng refunds on apps providing they are non-consumable (as the Ordo is), and requested within 90 days of purchase. There are various ways of going about requesting a refund, some relying on whether you're running iTunes and requiring a high level of familiarity. The most direct method is to follow these instructions:

To report a problem or request assistance with an item purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store:

•  Visit reportaproblem.apple.com in your browser (this window will still be active).

•  When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password used to initiate the purchase of the item, then click Sign In.

•  Find the item you're having a problem with, then click Report a Problem next to it.

•  From the Choose Problem menu, choose the issue you're having.

•  Follow the onscreen instructions. You might be asked to describe the problem in a text field.

•  Click Submit, and Apple will review your problem.

It may take a day or so for the review process to cycle through, but it's generally shorter.

 

Upcoming Changes & Improvements

Upcoming changes & improvements on the app, based on user feedback:

  • Default Region Assignment: For those with two or more regions, the ability to designate one region as default, so that any initial activity in the app applies to that region unles specifically directed otherwise.
  • Search Results Roaming: Will allow a page-turn or swipe effect for visiting a date range of results before and after the date selected.
  • Open to Last Date Searched: Once implemented, this feature will allow the app to open to the last date searched, or the current date. This will eliminate the need to see the date selector screen before getting the current day's information.
  • Settings Area: An area where settings and helpful user tips can be found and applied.

We are pleased to announce that in the 2017 version, regional data is now downloaded into the app, making the mobile Ordo WiFi independent.
