The Question Box

Today, the “Question Box” is a standard format used by hundreds of different publications and hundreds of different experts, who answer reader’s inquiries sent in by mail or over the Internet. But the original book The Question Box, by Bertrand Conway, was published by Paulist Press in 1904 and continued to sell in updated versions right down to 1970. Over four million copies were bought and used by Catholics to answer every kind of question that Protestant and non-Christian friends — and Catholics themselves — ask about the faith.

Paulist Press is happy to announce that our website will provide an online version of the famous Question Box once again. Every month new questions will be made available on the site along with answers for the contemporary world of Catholicism. Users will also be able to check the modern answer against Father Conway’s original answers to many of the same questions.
